The FAAB Anthem

Introduction to the Anthem "Gumagabay, Kumakalinga, Umaaruga"

The FAAB Anthem is a celebration of faith, unity, and community. It was composed by Fr. Rodel Cervantes, AA, inspired and enriched by the thoughts, reflections, and insights shared by members of the community. Through its meaningful words and uplifting melody, the anthem expresses the shared spirit, mission, and identity of FAAB.

The choreography by Audrey Rosales brings the anthem to life through movement, adding a visual expression of the community’s joy, fellowship, and faith.

Together, the music and choreography make the FAAB Anthem a meaningful expression of who we are and what we stand for as a community.

In God’s own light, we rise and stand, Filipinos in Boston, called by His hand.

A faithful people, strong and true, Sent in His love in all we do.

GUMAGABAY, we guide with faith along the way, A light for others day by day, With willing hearts and voices strong, We lead with hope and journey on.

KUMAKALINGA, we care for all, both near and far, In every place just where we are. No one forgotten, none alone, In every heart, God’s love is shown.

UMAARUGA, we nurture life, we help it grow, With gentle hands, His mercy shows, In joy and trials, come what may,

His grace will lead us day by day. Filipinos in Boston, we now proclaim, One in mission, in Christ’s Holy Name.

Guided by the Spirit, firm and true, We guide, we care, we nurture too.
